But seriously, I had many of the same problems and experiences, except that I wasted a decade more than you getting overwhelmed with my story and spreadsheets and all the writing books I consumed.

I think a lot of authors go through that! The amount of advice out there for writers is awesome, but it's also a great way to procrastinate...

I did find it easier to write BEFORE I took all those writing courses, read the craft books and attended webbinars etc . I don't write novels, so don't get freaked out by the numbers, but in my first year of writing I wrote over 50 picture book stories! Now, that I 've studied and overloaded myself with knowledge, somehow my inspirtion suffers and I'm lucky if I write 1-2 manuscripts per year.

I really like how you renamed "the writing advice" into "rewriting advice". Forget what you know and just write! You will fix it later.
