Thank you, extremely insightful. Gurus are something I see too often when researching writing advice. My general rule is if their courses are more successful than anything they’ve published, walk away.
I have wondered about imposter syndrome with teachers. Is there a point where you ask yourself if you’re good enough? Do you wake up and worry you won’t have the answers? And if a student stumbles, is it you, them, society? Is creativity something in which you can measure and grade?
Teaching seems like lots of questions, loads of anxieties.
Is that writing course a scam?
