Hi all!

As I mentioned last week, this will be the final issue of Ask the Editor (for now, at least!). As much as I’ve enjoyed this feature, I’m afraid I can no longer keep up with it and my current workload.

If you would like to cancel your paid membership, visit your Substack settings, choose my newsletter under “Subscriptions,” click “Change,” then select “Cancel.”

To be clear, I will still be active and posting here on Substack! This newsletter isn’t going anywhere. :)

I want to thank everyone from the bottom of my heart for sharing your writing with me. I know how vulnerable and nerve-wracking it is to not only share your work, but have it critiqued for others to read, and I really appreciate the bravery it takes. I hope you’ve all gotten as much out of this as I have!

Onward! Today’s installment includes…

  • A historical romantasy pitch

  • Opening pages of a historical novel

  • Edited pages from a memoir

  • More of an MG short story

  • More of an MG historical novel

Let’s get into it!
